Compliance / Record of Processing Activities
A record of processing you can trust, without the spreadsheet
Capture every processing activity once, link it to the information assets and risks behind it, and keep it current as your organisation changes. Built by data protection consultants who have brought order to complex RoPAs.
Why a record of processing activities matters
Article 30 requires most organisations to keep a written record of what personal data they process, why, who sees it and how long it is kept. It is the first thing a regulator, auditor or procurement team asks to see.
A good RoPA does more than satisfy the rule. It shows where your risk sits, feeds your privacy notices, DPIAs and retention schedules, and speeds up rights requests because you already know where the data lives.
STEP 1
Discover
Work with each department to identify what they do with personal data, using guided questions instead of a blank template.
STEP 2
Record
Log each activity once with its purpose, lawful basis, data categories, recipients, transfers and retention, linked to your information assets.
STEP 3
Maintain
Schedule reviews, raise findings when something changes, and keep a full audit trail of who updated what and when.
Everything you need to keep your RoPA accurate
Part of the Compliance module, alongside DPIA and information asset management.
- One place for every activity
A single, searchable register replaces department spreadsheets and version confusion.
- Guided activity records
Prompts and drop-downs help non-specialists describe processing consistently.
- Linked to information assets
See which systems and suppliers sit behind each activity, and which activities depend on each asset.
- Findings and actions
Raise a finding, assign an owner and track it to closure, then trace repeat issues back to their cause.
- Reviews that happen on time
Automatic review dates and reminders keep activity owners accountable.
- Ready when the regulator asks
Report on the record in the form Article 30 expects, with an audit trail behind every change.
